Help with my assignment!
Read Time:2 Minute, 3 Second

Lord Sinaut was deeply upset that his beautiful new palace’s aesthetic was spoilt by the presence of the palace guard. No matter what the shape or colour of their uniforms, they stood out and were unbearably noticeable to Lord Sinaut. Thus he commanded that he, his guests, his family and those of noble birth should even again see a guard inside the palace grounds.  It would have been simple for the guard to fall back to the outer walls and never enter gain. However, Lord Sinaut has many powerful enemies and a defense in depth is needed. So the palace guard became masters of camouflage, disguise and stealth. Many a would be intruder has found themselves caught by what they thought was just a flowering bush or a statue.

The Babish people of Ravelon are born with colour, for such a thing is not native to their world, with all things a being shade of grey. When a Babish reaches the age of 13, they undergo the colouring. With a guidance from the colour sage, they experience an adventure in the dream world. Surreal and unworldly, the adventure reveals to the Babish knowledge about themselves, their future and the colours that will form their pallette. Often a Babish will awake with two or three colours with one of these as their primary trim. Some will only know one colour and are pitied. A few learn many colours and may become a so colour sage. Rarely a Babish will know no colour and they are feared.

  1. I've heard quite a few mixed things on this RPG, is it worth it? I love the idea of career paths like Final Fantasy jobs and I love gritty systems, but I've also heard that the creators are pretty yikes, and some people have claimed its a shitty version of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying. Would it be better to just snag WFRP and adapt it to not be Warhammer anymore? Also what books do you need to start playing Zweihander, just the core rules or the player's book as well? Ditto that question for WFRP if you recommend that over Zweihander.

  2. I read of some people really loving DnD 4e, particularly the combat. There’s also 3, 2, 1… Action! which is a rework for 4e’s combat system. Sounds like 4e didn’t nail the DnD feel, but that the underlying game was still pretty good. I’m familiar with B/X, 1e to 3.5e, and 5e, and a bunch of other RPGs, but 4e is a total blind spot for me.

So, tell me, what’s so good about 4e and 4e combat?

  3. Hi everyone,

Frequent lurker here looking for some impressions on Blade Runner RPG. The pdf version has been in backers hands for a short while now and I haven't seen much in the way of players' thoughts, so I thought I would ask to see.

Not really looking for anything in particular – even just folks thoughts from having read it and not yet played. Does anything about the system stick out to you/interest you/seem like a red flag? Thanks!

  4. I'm working on an RPG system to play with my friends, and I want to know, what are some mechanics you all hate?? I am usually a GM, so I'd love opinions from people who spend more time in the players' seat. What makes a game un-fun? What mechanic does your GM ignore because of how bad it is? What mechanics make you groan whenever you need to use them?

  5. I've got a whole bunch of planescape stuff, and want to run a campaign. I don't wanna run it in ADD though, or any other D&D version. What are your recommendations for a good system to run planescape in?
